It's Rammstein. It was written specifically for the game. I forget the title of it.

The first song of FFX is "Otherworld" by The Black Mages.

They've got a version for the game done with a male singer, and another they did for concerts with a female singer.
The female version is much better, you can hear the lyrics easier. Original singer is Bill Muir though.
